What is EVO ICL?
EVO ICL™ (by STAAR Surgical) is a tiny, flexible implantable collamer lens that corrects your vision. It’s FDA-approved for moderate-to-high nearsightedness and astigmatism, and is placed behind the iris in a quick outpatient procedure.
I was told I’m not a LASIK candidate. Can I still get EVO ICL?
Often, yes. Unlike LASIK, EVO ICL doesn’t reshape the cornea, so it doesn’t depend on corneal thickness. Patients with high prescriptions (even -10.00 or higher), thin corneas, or keratoconus are frequently good candidates. The consultation confirms it.
Is the procedure painful? How long is recovery?
The eye is numbed with drops and you’ll receive relaxing medication. Most patients describe it as quick and comfortable, with both eyes typically treated the same day and vision back to normal within about 24 hours.
How much does EVO ICL cost, and is financing available?
